Intricately woven, these handcrafted baskets are true pieces of art, with each one taking several days to create. Skilled women in Rwanda expertly weave them by hand.
All our woven baskets are made from dyed natural sisal fibers woven over a core of forest grasses. The weavers begin at the center of the basket, carefully threading the sisal around and around to form beautiful designs.
Uses: These baskets are the perfect size for a centerpiece, a fruit bowl, a wall hanging, or to hold jewellery. They also make a stylish display on a shelf or dressing table. Additionally, they are great gifts for a girlfriend, mother, sister, or a fashionable friend who appreciates ethically made homeware and art.
Safe for Food Use: Our baskets are safe to use with food.
Care Instructions: Made from natural fibers and grass, these baskets should not be submerged or washed with water. If needed, use a damp cloth to wipe them clean.
