These handcrafted baskets are truly a piece of art with each one taking several days to make. They are expertly woven by hand by skilled women in Rwanda.
All of our woven baskets are created from dyed natural sisal fibers woven over a core of forest grasses. The weavers begin in the middle of the basket, carefully threading the sisal around and around to create this beautiful design.
Use: They are just the right size for a centerpiece, fruit bowl, wall hanging, hold jewelry or display on a shelf or dressing table.
It is also a Perfect gift for a girlfriend, mum or sister or, for a stylish friend who appreciates ethically made home-ware and art.
Safe to use with food
*Made of natural fibers and grass; do not submerge or wash with water. If necessary, use a damp cloth to wipe the basket clean.

These baskets are beautiful. The colors are vibrant. My daughter lived in Rwanda and we fell in love with the people and their beautiful basket weaving. We brought so many baskets home and I still wanted more. Love them as wall art and fruit baskets.
