These handcrafted baskets are truly a piece of art with each one taking several days to make. They are expertly woven by hand by skilled women in Rwanda.
All of our woven baskets are created from dyed natural sisal fibers woven over a core of forest grasses. The weavers begin in the middle of the basket, carefully threading the sisal around and around to create this beautiful design.
Use: They are just the right size for a centerpiece, fruit bowl, wall hanging, hold jewelry or display on a shelf or dressing table.
It is also a Perfect gift for a girlfriend, mum or sister or, for a stylish friend who appreciates ethically made home-ware and art.
Safe to use with food
*Made of natural fibers and grass; do not submerge or wash with water. If necessary, use a damp cloth to wipe the basket clean.

Shipping went out fairly quickly! I love the design and rugged feel of these baskets, they’re solidly made, only disappointment is the color is a greenish gold not as close in the descriptions & photo as to its color. I was hoping for more of a bronze look which it’s not at all. Still this design is really super one of the nicest I found in the shop.
